CARLSBAD - Myrtle Sadler, 99, a resident of Westridge Street, died Sunday, Aug 7, 1995, at Landsun Health Services Center.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Joe Wood and Phillip Royal officiating. A private burial will take place.
Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sadler was born Oct. 22, 1895, in Belleville, Yell County, Ark., to Tom and Edna Elnora Hunt Buckman. She graduated from high school in Belleville.
On Jan. 9, 1916, she and A.C. Sadler married. They moved to Carlsbad in 1935. She had been an active member of First United Methodist Church since 1935.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, and two sons, A.C. Sadler Jr. and Billy F. Sadler.
Survivors include a son, T. "Lin" Sadler of Fort Worth; daughters, Myralon Perkowski of Carlsbad and Willa Jean Thomas of Amarillo; a brother, Gloyd Buckman of Belleville; sister, Thelma Graddy of Fayetteville, Ark.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Landsun Caring Hands Fund, 2002 Westridge St., Carlsbad, NM 88220 or to a charity of choice.
