Thomas J. Buckle
age 76, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Oakwood Hospital-Annapolis Center, Wayne, MI. He was born December 2, 1936 in Detroit, MI, son of Elbert & Adena (Valliere) Buckle.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Belleville, where he was active in the Usher's Club. He was also a member of the Belleville Moose Lodge #934 and Knights of Columbus in New Boston, MI, also the Van Buren Eagles Aerie #3996, and R.E.A.C, the senior division of Eagles. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 31 years of loyal service at the Volcan Forge Plant, Dearborn, MI. He enjoyed amateur ballroom dancing, gardening, boating, traveling, and his electronic Karaoke system. His biggest passion, besides his family, was photography.

Mr. Buckle is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ellen (O'Connell) Buckle, three daughters Kathleen Ann (William) Ogden of Columbus, Ohio, Sheila Ann (Jeffrey) Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mary Ellen (Earl) Montgomery of Columbus, Ohio, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six sisters Bernice Janusz of Seattle, Washington, Patricia Jobe of Florida, Joann Shock of Clinton Township, MI, Rose Marie Forque of Miami, Florida, Carol (Michael) Meshinski of New Boston, MI and Regina Corriveau of Windsor, Ontario, a brother-in-law Alex Quenneville of Tecumseh, Ontario, also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother in infancy, also two sisters Adena Mae and Alberta Quenneville.

Visitation will be Tuesday 4-8 PM at the David C. Brown Temporary Viewing Chapel, 500 E. Huron River Dr. Belleville. A Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia Ave., Belleville with visitation from 10-11 AM. Father Thomas H. Cusick will serve as Celebrant.

Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Belleville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, specify for Children's Cancer Research, and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
