LA PLATA HOME PRESS, La Plata, Mo.
NOVEMBER 4, 1908.
---Aaron Buck, a prosperous farmer of near LaCrosse, was asphyriated at a hotel in Brookfield last Friday night. Mr. Buck went to turn the electric light out and got hold of the gas jet which was connected to the same chandelier the electic light was. Seeing that this did not put the light out he turned the next button and forgot to turn the gas off.
---He was found the next morning by the porter, lying close by the door.
---Mr. Buck had taken his wife to Brookfield for treatment. He was brought back to his home Saturday.
---Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wm. Rutherford of Brookfield, and the remains were laid to rest in the La Plata cemetery under the auspices of the La Plata I. O. O. F. lodge.
---He leaves a widow and two sons to mourn his death.
