Mrs. Lucy Arbeiter, 76, mother of Ft. Bluff Supervisor Otto Arbeiter, died at her home in the Gorham rural area early today after a long illness.
She was born in Altenburg, Mo., in 1882 and had lived in the Gorham area most of her life.
She was married in 1903 to Henry Arbeiter Jr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Arbeiter leaves daughters Mrs. John Amschler and Mrs. Ernest Zerbst, both of Jacob, sons Otto and Homer, both of Gorham, and Victor and Clarence, both of Evansville, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Emmanuel Schmidt of Altenburg. Two daughters preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church at Neunert, and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Friends may call at the Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro after 2 p.m. Wednesday until noon Friday, when the body will be removed to the Christ Lutheran Church for services at 1 p.m. The Rev. W. O. Petzholdt will officiate. Burial will be in Ft. Bluff Cemetery.
