CARLOCK - The graveside service for Marjorie E. Beyer, 87, of 1017 S. Mercer Ave., Bloomington, formerly of Carlock, will be 1:30 p.m. today at North Danvers Mennonite Cemetery, rural Danvers. The Rev. Chad Sparks will officiate. There will be no visitation. Otto-Argo-Froelich Memorial Home, Carlock, is in charge of arrangements.
She died at 3 p.m. Saturday (July 28, 2001) at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carlock Mennonite Church.
She was born Jan. 23, 1914, at Assumption, a daughter of Louis J. and Emma Irene Stutzman Buck. She married Frederick W. Beyer on Dec. 26, 1939, at Turkey Run, Ind. He died Oct. 17, 1981.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Wilna B. Beyer; two brothers, Gorlin Buck and James L. Buck; and a sister, Stella Buck.
Mrs. Beyer formerly worked for Washburn Flowers in Bloomington and later for the J.C. Penney Co. in Bloomington before retirement. She was a member of Carlock Mennonite Church. She was a former member of McLean County Home Extension and the Order of the Eastern Star, and had served as a Cub Scout and 4-H leader.
