John Webster Buck of Wethersfield died Wednesday, (February 13, 2002) after a two month illness. He was born in Wethersfield on August 19, 1912, son of John Saltonstall Buck and Florence Elizabeth Clark. He leaves behind a wife, Marjorie Grimes Buck; two sisters, Eleanor Buck Wolf and Harriet Buck Anderson, also of Wethersfield; two sons, Douglas Robinson Buck of Wethersfield and Daniel Mortlock Buck of Glastonbury; their wives, Virginia Shepard Buck and Joan Aube Buck; and five grandchildren, Peter Webster Buck, David Winthrop Buck, Douglas David Fortier Buck, Robin Elizabeth Buck and Jonathan Kimball Buck. He was predeceased by his older brother, Richard Saltonstall Buck; his first wife, Marjorie Mortlock Buck; and a brother-in-law, Carl Einer Anderson. Memorial services will be held at First Church of Christ, Wethersfield, February 23, 11 a.m. The James T. Pratt Funeral Service is entrusted with arrangements.
