Mrs. Matilda Mae Brouillette, 73, of Rt. 2, Ava, died Thursday in Picayune, Miss., after a two month illness. She was born Sept. 8, 1894, in Jackson County, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Walker Buchholz. She was married in May of 1918 in Murphysboro to Oliver A. Brouillette, who died in March of 1965.
Mrs. Brouillette was a member of the Raddle Catholic Church.
She leaves daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Norman of Dupo, Mrs. Lora Sweet of Picayune, and Mrs. Diane Cox of Waterloo, sons, Carl of Wichita, and Windel of Columbia, Lyle of Ava, and Charles of Gary, Ind,; and a brother, Leonard Buchholz.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel in Murphysboro, with the Rev. Leo J. Hayes of Ava officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
