Harry Robert Buchanan, 88, Spring Twp., Berks Co., PA, and formerly of Birdsboro, PA, died May 31, 2011, of natural causes in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
Born in Birdsboro, he was a son of the late Daisy E. (Hoffman) Buchanan and the late Charles F. Buchanan.
He had been employed as a Lineman for the former Conestoga Telephone and Telegraph Co., Birdsboro, PA, for 31 years before retiring on Feb. 1, 1989.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran.
Surviving is his companion Thelma Miller, at home. He was predeceased by four brothers: Levi, Sylvester, Duncan and Russell; and five sisters: Margaret, Kathryn, Gladys, Verna and Betty.
Funeral Services will be held at the Dengler Funeral Home Inc., 144 N. Spruce St., Birdsboro, PA, on Friday, June 3, 2011, at 2 p.m. Viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will be in Birdsboro Cemetery.
