Vincent Bucaro

Age 78, died peacefully at home after a long illness. He was retired from Lewis University but was formerly a welder at Ford Motor Co., and a past employee of Prairie Tank at the Joliet Arsenal as well as an experienced carpenter. He loved fixing things and was a true "car guy" who loved doing body work on old cars.
Vincent is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Antoinette Bucaro; son, Dana Bucaro; step sons, Mark and Patrick Maloney; and brother, Joe Bucaro.
He is survived by his loving wife, La Verne (nee Lunger); devoted children, Steven (Linda) of Fountain Hills, AZ and Laura (Joe) Mejia of New Lenox; step children, Mike (Sue) and Steve (Vicky) Maloney; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his dear sister, Nina Jost of Braidwood; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Funeral Services Thursday, 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home 3201 W. Jefferson, Joliet (Formerly Westwood Funeral Home.)
