FRANKLIN - Patrick Edward Bryson Sr., 70, of Plains Court died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at the Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin, following a period of failing health.

He was born March 17, 1937, in Franklin, a son of Edward and Elsby (Stebbins) Bryson.

Pat was a lifelong resident of Franklin. For several years, he was employed at the former J.P. Stevens Woolen Mill in Franklin and later at Webster Valve Co. in Franklin. He then worked in security at the Lakes Region Greyhound Track in Belmont.

Pat enjoyed music and entertained family and friends with his harmonica and spoons. He was a NASCAR buff and Red Sox fan. He always found time for his children, fishing with them, watching them play ball and being with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Bryson and his daughter, Bonnie Bryson, who died in 2005.

His surviving family includes his wife, Charlene (Green) Bryson of Franklin; a daughter, Wanda L. Jackson of Franklin; sons Patrick E. Bryson Jr. of Franklin, Frank J. Bryson of Franklin and Timothy C. Bryson of Franklin; nine grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Shelley of Franklin; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Tilton.
