Charles Anthony Bryan, 81, died Friday [November 9, 1984] at Georgetown Manor. He was a native of Nelson County and a retired machinist for Reynolds Metals Co. Survivors include his wife, the former Viola C. Gootee; two daughters, Anna Marie Borders and Frances Lea King; three sons, Charles B., James E. and Joseph L. Bryan; three sisters, Eleanor Ballard, Louise Nalley and Irene Clark; two brothers, Joseph G. & James D. Bryan; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, 2914 S. Third St., with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation at Ratterman's, 2815 S. Fourth St., will be from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
