Mrs. Carroll Sears, formerly of 1 Elizabeth Avenue, widow of Chester Sears, died Tuesday evening at Woodland Nursing Home following an extended illness.
She was born in Delaware County, the daughter of Judson and Florence Peterson Bryan, and spent her entire life in this community. She attended Granville School.
Mrs. Sears was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Flower Mission, and Paul Revere Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Sheila Schmid, two grandchildren, Debbie and Nicholas Schmid, all of Harrisburg, Pa., and a brother, Romney F. Bryan, Muncie.
Services will be held at the Meeks Mortuary 11 a.m. Friday with Dr. Laurence A. Martin, pastor of First United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery near Eaton.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 until 5 and from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday and any time before the services Friday.
