Mr. Brunton was a farmer and worked for Montgomery County Highway Department. He served in the Army from 1942-1945 during World War II, and from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and Montgomery County Pioneer Association.
Surviving with his wife are his children, M. Lee Brunton and his wife, Jolinda of Linden; Kathryn Chase and her husband, Jack of West Point; and Peggy Brunton and her fiancé George Lumley of Lafayette; a brother, Wilbur Brunton and his wife Delores of Lafayette; a sister, Bernice Munson of Attica; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. He was predeceased by six brothers and five sisters.
