STATESBORO --Mrs. Bertha Brunson Brannen, 91, died March 1 at Statesboro Nursing Home. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for more than 70 years and taught Sunday School in the Junior Department . She served as treasurer for the Statesboro District United Methodist Women, and was active in the Statesboro Womans Club for many years.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Becky Brannen Turpin and Russell Turpin of Marietta; a son , Wyley W. Brannen Jr. of Statesboro; a sister, Mrs. M.C. Meeks of Register; and three grandchildren, Wyley W. Brannen III of Statesboro, Andrea Zare of Marietta and Lori Turpin of Alpharetta.
VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. today at Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Sunday at Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
