No children were born to him in either of his two marriages.
Henry (and his likely sibling Carl Brunotte) emigrated from Bremen, Germany Dec 1859 aboard the ship Orpheus under Captain Johann Phillipp Wessels. They arrived at Port of New York 09 Jan 1860. [Surname written as "Brunertte"] Both men were shown as tailors. Henry's destination was New York and Carl's was Pennsylvania.
Henry was residing with his brother Louis Brunotte and sister-in-law Louisa Brunotte in New York City's 8th Ward on the 1860 Census. Before 1862, Henry made his way to New Orleans from New York in 1862 where he enlisted in the Union forces, Company B of the1st Louisiana Volunteer Infantry. He served in ordinance as a tailor from 31 Jul 1862 to 12 Jul 1865.
Eliza Kimmich married Heinrich Christian 'Henry' Brunotte before 1870. After Eliza's death in 1891, Henry married Eliza's sister Maria Caroline Kimmich on 22 Mar 1892.
No children were born to either marriage.
Henry was the primary supporter for the family that included his in-laws. The Greenwood Cemetery Lot Purchased by Henry Brunotte in 1877 for the burial of his mother-in-law.
