After filing application for emigration on behalf of his family in Wuerttemberg in October 1853, Conrad Kimmich, his wife Margaret Barbara, and his two daughters immigrated to the US landing in the Port of New Orleans 10 Jan 1854.
The family remained in New Orleans until their deaths. Eliza Kimmich married Heinrich Christian 'Henry' Brunotte before 1870. After Eliza's death in 1891, Henry married Eliza's sister Maria Caroline Kimmich on 22 Mar 1892.
No children were born to either marriage.
Henry was the primary supporter for the family that included his in-laws. The Greenwood Cemetery Lot Purchased by Henry Brunotte in 1877 for the burial of his mother-in-law.
