Harold Michael Bruno, lifelong resident of Greenwich, died at his home on February 8, 2011. He was eighty-eight.

Mr. Bruno was born March 30, 1922 in Greenwich at the home of his parents, Peter J. and Grace Bonvenuto Bruno, the youngest of five children.

He was best known as Co-Owner and Operator of the former Greenwich Food Centers, with his late brothers, Joseph and James Bruno. As a Grocery Supermarket Distributor, he appeared in the 2005-2006 edition of "Who's Who in Executives and Professionals".

An Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, Mr. Bruno was also a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna (Rich) Bruno, and son, Peter J. Bruno; as well as brothers Joseph and James, and sisters Carmella Bruno and Rose (Bruno) Perna. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Bruno) Gramlich and husband John of Chicago and Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren Melissa (Bruno) Evans, Peter J. Bruno, John Gramlich III and spouse Colleen; Michael Gramlich and spouse Julie; Sarah (Gramlich) Bucko and spouse Dan; David Bruno and Zachary Bruno; and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday February 11, 2011 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church on Greenwich Avenue.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
