Agnes Virginia Brungardt, 89, Hays, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006, at her home in Hays.
Brungardt was born May 10, 1917, at Catherine to Martin and Cecilia (Glick) Ubert.
She married Victor Leo Brungardt on April 29, 1946, at Catherine. He died Aug. 13, 1951.
She was a homemaker and caregiver. She was a member of the St. Catherine Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers in Catherine.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Augustine and husband Gib Jr., Hays; three granddaughters, Michelle Hafliger and husband, Jeff, Ogallah, Nichole Burns and husband, Laryn, Hays, and Natascha Degenhardt and husband, B.J., Hays; and six great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Andria Buchholz, Bryn and T.J. Hafliger, Nikolas Armbrister and Kelsiy Burns.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joseph Ubert; one sister, Mary Dreher; infant siblings and an infant daughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Catherine; burial at the church cemetery. There will be a Perpetual Adorers rosary at 4 p.m., a Christian
Mother's rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m. today at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine. Visitation will be from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
