Adaline Flanders of the Creek Nation was married to William (Billy) Bruner. She was the mother of Iona, Bessie, Lilly, Loney, Nellie, William, Lyman and Richard Bruner. She is laid to rest in the Bruner Family Cemetery beside her husband Billy. The Bruner's home was just up the road from the Cemetery and the land for the Cemetery was donated to the family by Adaline and Billy. It's said that Adaline worked as an interrupter, she spoke fluent Creek. There is some confusion about Adaline's maiden name due to her and a brother using different spellings on the Native American Indian Rolls. Her father is possibly named Edward Flanders or (Flanley Flanlie) and her mother Coody (Coodie, Cootie??) Asbury. The Bruner's lived in a two story home between Bixby and Beggs.
