Mr. Fredrick Bruhn died December 24, 1922, at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 21 days at Herndon. Born in Hanover, Germany, in 1850, he came to Kansas in 1873. In 1910 his wife died and since that time he has made his home with his only son, Henry Bruhn of Herndon. He leaves one brother, one son and eight grandchildren to mourn his loss.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon from the home of his son by the Rev. Paul J. Strege of Ludell. Interment took place in the Lutheran cemetery east of Herdon. A funeral service was held at the Lutheran church after the burial. "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth."
