Mrs. Dan E. Bailey
Funeral services for Mrs. Dan E. Bailey, 73, who succumbed at the home of her son, Sammie Bailey in Winona April 10th were held at Mount Moriah Church near French Camp on Monday afternoon, April 11th, at one o'clock with Rev. M. E. Perry of Greenville officiating. Burial was made under the direction of Lee Funeral Home in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rufus Jamison, Marion Lanthrip, Hester Stevens, Earl Lishman, Dick Austin, W. J. Herring, R. L. Phillips and Gladwin Beck.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Choctaw County August 16, 1875, the daughter of the late Rufus and Sallie Smith Bruce. She was the widow of the late Dan E. Bailey who preceded her in death about a year ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, E. P. Bailey, Greenville, R. L. Bailey, Sumner, Sammie Bailey, Winona; four sisters, Mrs. J. T. Burt, Weir, Mrs. Lector Bruce of Idaho, Mrs. E. E. Letbeter and Mrs. Willie Cooper, both of Memphis; three brothers, Sam Bruce, Henry Bruce, Mathiston, and Russell Bruce of Jackson,
