She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and also a very giving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We were very thankful to have had her in our lives. We know she's in heaven with Jesus now and that comforts us greatly.

Survivors include her eight children, Annette Bourgeois, Corinne Bourgeois Rainey, Richard "Ricky" Bourgeois and wife Janis, Hubert "Bert" Bourgeois, Justin Bourgeois and wife Lisa, Jeannette Bourgeois Bissett and husband Scott, Cecile Bourgeois Bergeron and husband John, and Neal Bourgeois, grandchildren, Chris Chapman and wife Andrea, Raven Rainey Holle, Barry Rainey, Chase Bourgeois, Ryan Kees and wife Jaymee, Aimee Bourgeois Lamczyk, Ashton and Myles Bourgeois, Curtis Renfroe, Kaleb and Autumn Bissett, Haley, Harley and Hawken Bergeron, Curt, Dustin and Neal Owen Bourgeois II; seven great-grandchildren, Madison and Brooke Chapman, Andrew and Owen Holle, Sopia and Gavin Lamczyk, and Addison Schaeffer; three sisters, Francis Bruce, Carrie Pierre and husband Roy, and Bernice Warner and husband Jim; and brother, Curtis "Buddy" Bruce and wife Penny.
Preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Bourgeois, Sr.; parents, Curtis A. Bruce and Leafy Lambert Bruce; and four sisters, Betty Bruce, Mazie Farlow, Carolyn Wheeler and Bonnie Baham.
