Hope Wichman, 90, Defiance, died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Laurels of Defiance.
She was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Henry County's Flatrock Township, the daughter of Hugh and Mary (Garver) Brubaker. In 1938, she married Richard Wichman, who died in 2002. She worked at Meek's Pastry Shop for 13 years, and at Campbell Soup Supply Co., Napoleon. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, Defiance.
Surviving are two daughters, Joan (Jim) Hammersmith and Leann (John) Schwab, Defiance; a son, Allen (Deanna), Defiance; two brothers, Wendell (Berneta) Brubaker of Elida and John (Evelyn) Brubaker, Napoleon; and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, Duane Brubaker; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Brian Stark officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home andafter 9 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the church.
