She was born August 11, 1944 in Marion, North Carolina, the daughter of Dell Boulward Broyhill of Asheville and of Otis Lutz Broyhill, Sr. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Otis L. Broyhill, Jr.
Dell Morgan was a graduate of Marion High School and Mars Hill College.
She was the hostess of the Howard Bement Guest House at The Asheville School, a member of the Junior League of Asheville, past president of the Children's Welfare League of Asheville and past president of the Ladies Golf Association at the Biltmore Forest Country Club.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Asheville where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a Deacon and was an active participant of the Loyalty Class.
A graveside service was held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir.
