Cecil Maxine Broyhill, 82, of 2511 Carriage Lane died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 1991, at her residence.
Born March 17, 1909, in Trivoli to William and Pearl Shryock Batton, she married Chester E. Broyhill on June 17, 1942, in Peoria. He died on May 21, 1970. She is survived by one son, Roger A. of Brimfield; five grandchildren; and one great- grandchild.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at Couch & Heyle of East Peoria before retiring.
She served for 29 years as superintendent of the Heart of Illinois Fair hobby department.
She was a former member and past president of the Peoria County Homemakers Extension board of directors.
She was a member of the West Bluff Garden Club and the National T.T.T. Chapter A.P. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, the Rev. R. David Goodell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
