Richard Leroy Brownawell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Brownawell, Carlisle R.D. 5, and Semone Kathleen Husler, daughter of Mrs. Edna Husler, Carlisle R.R. 3, were united in marriage at the parsonage of the First Evangelical Church, East North street (sic), Carlisle, on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
The double ring ceremony of the Evangelical Church was read by the pastor. The Rev. Joseph H. Miller.
Mrs. Brownawell was attended by her sister, Mrs. Ralph Mountz Carlisle R.D. 3.
Mr. Brownawell is employed by the Carlisle Baking Company and Mrs. Brownawell is employed at the C. H. Masland plant. They are living in their newly furnished apartment in South Hanover street (sic), Carlisle.

Semone K. Brownawell, 84, of Carlisle died Thursday, March 10, 2011, in her home.
She was born Nov. 10, 1926, in Carlisle, the daughter of the late Orden and Edna Dyarman Husler.
Mrs. Brownawell is the widow of Richard L. Brownawell Sr., who died April 26, 1994.
She had belonged to Salem Stone United Church, Carlisle.
She is survived by three sons, Richard L. Brownawell Jr., Rance L. Brownawell and Gregory L. Brownawell, all of Carlisle; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Veda Weaver of Gardners.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Egger Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Big Spring Ave., Newville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
