Maud Elizabeth Brown Bateman, age 103, died December 30, 1985.

Born June 26, 1882 in Murray, Utah to Henry William and Charlotte Elizabeth Taylor Brown. Married Royal Bateman, January 18, 1905 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded in death.

Active member LDS church and organizations. Teacher of Primary group called Trail Bulder boys for over 35 years. Visiting teacher for the Relief Society for 54 years and doing temple work. Avid genealogy worker. When 80 years old called and successfully completed stake mission.

Survived by children, Alden L.; Clell H.; Lila Revo; Wayne M; Melva Bair;Dorothy Hurst; over 200 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; preceded in death by son, daughter, Kenneth J.; Grace Joshnson Christensen; half-brother, Rubin C. Wilson who was adopted as a baby and through genealogy work of his daughter Lenna the two families were united again after 52 years.

Funeral services Saturday 11 a.m. at the Garden Park 1st Ward, 1150 Yale Avenue. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment Murray City Cemetery."
