MORRILL - Rose Irene Alt, 60, peacefully went home to her Lord with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer, Thursday Feb. 21, 2008.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Federated Church in Mitchell with Dr. Charles H. Richardson officiating. Burial will be at the Forest Lawn Cemetery near Morrill.
Visitation will be at the mortuary Monday, Feb. 25, from noon to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Morrill Volunteer Fire Dept. or Festival of Hope.

Rose was born April 13, 1947, in Mitchell to Danny and Vera (Helling) Brown. She attended Mitchell Schools graduating Mitchell High School in 1965. Rose and Jerry Alt were united in marriage on Jan. 12, 1969, in Mitchell. They made their home in Morrill. Rose was a Mary Kay consultant for 27 years making many friends during that time. She had a great love for life and her family was everything to her. Rose had a deep love for her grandchildren, as they were her pride and joy.
She was a member of the Federated Church of Mitchell.
Survivors include her loving husband, who will miss her dearly, Jerry Alt of Morrill; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Corey Rising of Torrington, Wyo.; son, Kevin Alt of Morrill; daughter and son-in-law, Rana and James Saum of Morrill; precious grandchildren, Kaylea, Zane and Avary Rose Rising; Kaden Saum and Makenzie Reigh; brother, Carl and wife Mary Jane Brown of Mitchell; sister, Edna and husband Dan Weinmaster of Scottsbluff; brothers, Richard and wife Rose Brown of Mitchell and Ken Brown of Sand Springs, Okla.; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jon Needs of Morrill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Brown.
The family wishes to extend their thank you to their good friend Dr. Packard and the nursing staff at the cancer treatment center for their compassion and tender loving care.
