HANNIBAL - Harry Lee Brown, 74, of Hannibal, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 15, at the Grand View Funeral Home. Masonic services will follow.
Harry was born Feb. 25, 1932, to Harry Lee Sr. and Alice Phoebus Brown (Cook). Both are deceased.
He was married to Mina Miller on July 29, 1957, in Hannibal. She survives
Other survivors include two sons, Bill Brown and Stuart Brown; a daughter, Jane Brown Dixon (Craig); and two grandsons, 1st Class Petty Officer Eric Dixon of Hawaii and Spencer Dixon of Hannibal.
Harry was a 1950 graduate of Hannibal High School, and graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange College and Culver-Stockton College. He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He taught school in Palmyra from 1960 to 1964, and was a senior claim representative for State Farm Insurance from 1964 to 1997, when he retired. He was a member of Masonic Lodge No.188 of Hannibal, a lifetime NRA member, and a member of The Promise Keepers.
Harry enjoyed fellowship at the Hannibal Nutrition Center and Retreaders at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Harry loved his cats, Ted and Beans, who he affectionately called "them boys."
Memorials may be made to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society or Masonic Lodge No. 188.
