Dorothy Nadine Brown of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on in her home at the age of 83 years. She was born to the late Ventin Noel and Ethel Millie (Frye) Farmer.
Dorothy was a graduate of Greenfield High School. She was united in marriage to Roy Horton Brown on August 5, 1941, in Stockton, Mo.
Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker. She worked or over 20 years as a bank teller for Citizens Home Bank of Greenfield and also for over 20 years at the ASCS office of Greenfield. Dorothy was a member of the Greenfield First Christian Church, Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and one sister, June Steeley. Survivors include her husband, Roy Brown of the home; one son, Mike Brown of Greenfield, Mo.; three daughters, Carolyn Wilkinson and her husband, Howard, of Greenfield, Mo., Sue Freeze and her late husband, Bob, of Greenfield, Mo., and Jane Gray and her husband, Harold, of Greenfield, Mo.; one brother, Truman Farmer and his wife, Dixie, of Greenfield, Mo.; two sisters, Lemoin Lucas and her husband, Jerry, of Springfield, Mo., and Helen Bigelow and husband, Owen, of Greenfield, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2007, in Greenfield Funeral Chapel with Pastor Joe Hampton and Pastor Harold Mayes officiating.
