MRS. ANCHORS, FORMER RESIDENT,
DIES AT AGE 83

Mrs. Lois B. Anchors, 83, Pittsburg, Kan., died Wednesday morning at Pittsburg after a long illness.
Born August 25, 1884 at Sterling, Kan., she was married October 30, 1906 at Nevada to A. L. Anchors, who died November 5, 1933. Mr. Anchors, for many years, was secretary of Jasper County Building and Loan Association.
Mrs. Anchors resided at Carthage until the death of her husband, then went to Dallas, Texas. She moved three years ago to Pittsburg. She was a member of the Christian Church, Dallas, and Order of Eastern Star Carthage.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Allan Stevenson, Pittsburg and Mrs. R. D. Gilboney, Dallas, Texas and five grandchildren.
A son, James, died in April, 1967 in Kansas City.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Park Cemetery. The Rev. Homer Keith will officiate. Brenner Funeral Home, Pittsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
