Funeral services for Wayne Evans Brown, 67, Rising Sun, will be at 11 A.M. Thursday, Nov. 17 at Markland Funeral Home, with burial in Rising Sun New Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the funeral home. Mr. Brown, reitred, was an electrician at Cincinnati Incorporated in Cincinnati, Ohio from 1962-1998. He was a member of the Hartford Masonic Lodge #151, Backwater Bass Club, Southeastern Indiana EMMAUS and served on the Ohio County Emergency Unit for 15 years. He was a member of the Bethel Unity Church, 306 Main St., Rising Sun. The 1956 graduate of Versailles High School was a veteran of the U.S. MARINES and U.S. Army Reserves. The son of William & Imogene (Clark) Brown was born in Fairview, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Jenkins Brown on April 20, 1962. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Brown, Rising Sun; daughter, Leigh (Jim) Kem, Aurora; grandson, Kevin Kem; granddaughters Kirsten Kem & Clelsea Kem; brother, Terry (Gail) Brown, Versailles; and a nephew, Kenton Brown, Versailles. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Cherri Hughes. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bethel Unity Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
