She was the daughter of Eli Meisenheimer of Meisenheimer Settlement south of Jonesboro. She was a member of St. John’s German Reformed Church. She left a husband, Columbus Brown, two children from her marriage to Michael Rinehart, five children from her marriage to Brown, three brothers, one sister, Mrs. Franklin Hileman; and one half sister in Johnson County.
