Kay Davis Brown, 60, died March 17, 2005, at her home in Diamond Bar, California.
She was born in Ajo to Roy A. & Evelyn Davis. She grew up here and was a 1962 graduate of Ajo High School. She received her degree from the University of Arizona in 1966.
A teacher, she had recently retired from her second grade classroom.
Her family remembers her as a talented woman and a loving mother. "She was a wonderful, loving person and was very much loved by everyone who knew her," they said. "She will be sorely missed."
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her father, Roy A. Davis, and by her grandparents, Ed & Inez Mills and Marvin & Adaline Davis.
She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Mills Davis of Ajo; by her children, Leslie Brown and Charlotte Brown; by her sisters & brothers-in-law, Ruth & Bill Jenkins of Napa, California, Carol & Al Conyers of Mesa, and Linda & Rod Zenonian of Mesa; by her brother, David Davis of Ajo; by her aunt, Christina Mills Dorsey of Mesa; by her uncle & his wife, Larry & Ethel Mills; and by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 9, in the Sky Chapel of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California. Burial will be in Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona del Mar, California.
