Annie Jackson Brown was born in Snohomish, Washington. She moved to Seattle about 75 years ago. She was a charter member of Seattle Chapter No. 1, Daughters of Pioneers and a member of the Pioneer Association of Washington. In 1859, her grandfather, Captain D.B. Jackson settled in Port Ludlow, Jefferson County, Washington. She died at age 84 on Sunday, February 2, 1964 at a hospital. She was a resident of 839 Northeast 85th Street. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent V. Brown in 1925. Survivors included one son, Vaughn Brown [1908-1994] of Bellevue; two daughters: Mrs. George Lindsay [1905-1984] and Mrs. Charles Easter, both of Seattle; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Bonney-Watson Chapel followed by cremation. Memorial contributions were suggested to a charity of choice.
