She died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001.
She was born June 22, 1945, in Lamesa, attended school at Blackshear and graduated from Lamesa High School in 1964. She was a member of Mount of Olive Baptist Church, where she was secretary and treasurer.
Survivors include a son, Chauncey Dupree of Waco; two daughters, Stephanie LaTrale and Streisann Nichole, both of Lamesa; a brother, Willie "James" Brown of Andrews; three sisters, Barbara Ann Edwards and Charlene Brown, both of Lamesa, and Merry Lou Askew of San Antonio; three half-brothers, Billy Williams of Lamesa and Bennie and Tony Williams, both of Houston; a half-sister, Lisa Moorer of Midland; and five grandchildren.
