James A. Brown, 31, of 306 Fairview Ave., Waynesboro, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Waynesboro Hospital.He had been in failing health for the past year and had been critically ill for the last month. Born Oct. 23, 1960, in Waynesboro, he was a son of Frannie F. Rock of Waynesboro and the late Wilbur W. Brown. Mr. Brown and his wife, Freda Ann (Lewis) Brown, were married Jan. 30, 1982, and had lived at the present residence for the past eight years. He was formerly employed by Bonded Applicators and, most recently, by Robert Hahn Contractors, both of Waynesboro.
Mr. Brown was a member of the Owls Club of Waynesboro. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a step-father, Charles I. Rock of Waynesboro; one son, James Allen Brown III, at home; three brothers, Richard L. Brown and Terry Brown, both of Waynesboro, and William Brown of Hagerstown; one sister, Nancy J. Barkloo of Minneapolis, Minn.; a number of aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur P. Brown, in 1979.
