MRS. ANNIE R. BROWN, a former well known resident, of Waynesboro, and widow of Jacob Brown, who died here in 1866, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Miss Alice Brown, in Milwaukee, Wis., in the 79th year of her age.
Mrs. Brown, a native of this Community, left here two years ago to make her home in Milwaukee, with her children.
The remains will arrive here Wednesday evening and be taken to the Grove Funeral parlors where the religious service, will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Victor H. Jones officiating, and burial in Burns Hill cemetery.
Mrs, Brown was the daughter of Abram and Mary (Byers) Short, this city, deceased and spent nearly all of her life in Waynesboro, where she had many friends. She was a member of St. Paul Reformed church and a Charter member of the Women's Relief Corps, the auxiliary of the G. A. R. Post.
Surviving Mrs. Brown are these children: Clarence, Los Angels, Cal.; Harry Brown, Mrs. Howard Eberly, Mrs. Addie Little and Miss Alice Brown, jail of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Robert Newman, of Holmesburg, Pa.; sister, Mrs. Catherine Glauner of Lanciaster.
