Born Aug. 23, 1913, in Waukesha, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Rose Niesen. Mrs. Brown was a former teacher in the Manitowok and Milwaukee, Wis., city school districts.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Norman F. Brown, in 1997. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law.
Funeral Mass will be recited Saturday at 9 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church Chapel, Athens, by Fr. Martin Holler.
No calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lockbourne. Arrangements are by Jagers and Sons Funeral Home.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Appalachia Community Visiting Nurses Association, 280 E. State St., Athens, Ohio 45701.
