CHASE - Mrs Delphia Brown, 73, of Chase, died Monday afternoon at the Sterling Community Hospital after a short illness. Born Feb 23, 1896, at Greentop, Mo., she was married to Leo Brown in 1941. He died in 1961. She had been a resident of Chase, since 1937.
She was a member of the Church of Christ at Chase, and the VFW of Little River.
Survivors include daughter, Mrs Cliff Kindle, Little River; sons, William Sells, Houston, Mo.; Virgil Sells, Chase; Denver Sells, Lyons; Delmer Sells, Wichita; sisters, Mrs Goldia Morgart, Chase, Mrs Dixie Baker, Uniontown, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Crawford-Miller Funeral Home, Lyons, with the Rev Don Moor officiating. Friends may call between 7 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests memorials to the Kansas Crippled Children Commission. These funds may be left with the Chase State Bank.
