Ben Franklin Brown, 74, of Gateway died March 9, 1977 at his home. He was born October 4, 1902 at Alma. He was a retired farmer and stockman and formerly owned a grocery store in Rogers. He was a member of the Freedom Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, James of Gateway; three sisters, Lela Walker of Springdale, Stella Meadows of Ft. Smith, and Pearl Betterton of Alma; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were in the Burns Funeral Chapel in Rogers with the Rev. Claude Hendrix and Rev. Bruce Phillips officiating. Burial was in Silent Grove Cemetery.
