"Alexander Brown, born in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania, moved to Hardin county, Ohio, when a young man. From there he came to Huntington county, Indiana about 40 years ago. He was the father of four children; all but one with their mother, preceded him to the other world. Mrs. Joseph Ream, of this place, is the only living member of his family. He died at the house of Henry Rannells (sic) after an illness of a year from heart disease on Tuesday at twelve o'clock, age 82 years, 2 months and 10 days. He was a member of the M.E. church. Funeral from the house yesterday at 2 p.m. Services by Rev. Greenman and burial at the new cemetery."
