Abner K. Brown, 67, a native of Andrews and former newspaper man and Indiana Farmers Guide salesman of Huntington, died Wednesday at Vevay, where he had lived the last two years. He had lived in Switzerland County the last 11 years having resided on a farm prior to moving to Vevay where he maintained an office for tax return work and other services to the public.
Mr. Brown was born June 4, 1894, in Andrews to John G. and Nila Morgan Brown. He married Lelah Wiles, June 8, 1929, in this city, where she was a deputy Circuit Court clerk at the time.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved from this city, about 1935, for residence in California and Arizona before returning to Indiana.
The body is at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home at Vevay where services will be held prior to removal of the body to this city for graveside rites at 2 p.m. Saturday and burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown visited in this city in the last few years and Mr. Brown was seen annually at the tax school sessions of the last three years by local persons attending there.
