Charlotte Eva Brown, 92, of Ottumwa, Iowa, formerly of Moville, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at the Sunnyslope Care Center in Ottumwa. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Stephanie Raphael-Nakos officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery, Pulaski, Iowa. Visitation will begin at noon today, with the family present 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was born July 17, 1906, in Moville, the daughter of Jesse Edgar and Adah (Case) Wilkins. She graduated from Moville High School and attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D., and Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She married Samuel C. Brown on Aug. 19, 1930, in Moville. She had also lived in Smithland, rural Pulaski, Letts, Salix, Iowa, and moved to Ottumwa in 1976. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, S. Burr of Ottumwa and Craig W. of Bremerton, Wash.; a daughter, Carol J. Lofgren of Arizona City, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers. Pallbearers will be Michael and Todd Brown, Brock Lofgren, Steve Penny and Jerry Taylor.
