Esther Pauline Adams, 84, of Chattanooga, TN left her earthly home for her heavenly home, Sunday, August 15, 2010, in Athens-Limestone Hospital in Athens, Ala.
She was born on January 5, 1926 in Omaha, Neb. to Oscar William and Emma Elizabeth Erwin Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oliver Coy "Bob" Williams; daughter, Linda Gale Lemons; and siblings, Russell Eugene Brown, Kenneth Wyman Brown and Marguerite Brown Sharpe.
Mrs. Adams was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.
She is survived by daughters, Charlotte Diane Lynn and husband, John, of Athens, Patricia Elaine Reeves, of Chattanooga and Sheila Kay Lee, of Scottsboro; brother and sister-in-law, William Kelly and Opal Brown, of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Bobby H. Sharpe, of Estill Springs, Tenn.; many nieces, nephews and friends all of whom she cherished.
Mrs. Adams was retired from Eckard Drugs in Chattanooga and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. "MeMaw Bea" was dedicated to her family and her Lord and Savior and will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She loved crossword puzzles and The Price is Right.
Visitation 5:30 until 8 p.m. today, August 18, 2010 and also from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Gober Funeral Chapel in Arab, Ala. with service at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Baileyton Cemetery in Baileyton, Ala.
