Mrs. Emma K. Alexander, 88, of 334 E. Queen St., Chambersburg, died Friday
afternoon at the Church of the Brethren Home, Cross Keys. She had been a guest
there since June.
A native of Greene Township, she was born July 21, 1873.
Mrs. Alexander was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church and
the widow of Benjamin J. Alexander who died in 1954.
Surviving are sons, James M. Alexander and Wilburg G. Alexander and a daughter;
Mrs. Iva Johnson, as well as a foster son, Harry D. Black, all of Chambersburg;
and a sister Mrs. Ella Slike of Harrisburg.
Services were held this afternoon at the Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg with
the Rev. D. Rayborn Higgins officiating. Burial was made in Norland Cemetery.
