The following information is quoted directly from a family history completed in December 1940 by her son, Levi Herbert Brown:
In 1901 the mother followed the eldest son to Lemoore, Kings County, California, where he had gone two years previously and married. The eldest son's family went to Santa Barbara in 1902, the mother following in 1903.
The mother visited the son and daughter in North Dakota in 1907-8 going again to Michigan during the latter year to be with her father during his last illness. Returning to Santa Barbara after her father's death she bought the home of her eldest son at the time of his going to Oregon in 1909. She passed away October 1, 1913 and lies at rest in a single graveyard #571, Ocean View Section, Santa Barbara Cemetery.
