Aquebogue- Mrs Annie Jennings, wife of the late G Alonzo Jennings, passed away on Friday as a result of the shock which she suffered only a few hours before. Mrs Jennings survived her husband by only a few weeks. For about seventeen years she had been an invalid, having never recovered from a previous shock. The deceased was actively engaged in church work, having taught a Sunday school class, both in Riverhead, her former home, and in Aquebogue. Four of the members of her old class in Aquebogue acted as pallbearers. Funeral services, conducted by her pastor Rev E A Northrop, were held from the late home on Sunday afternoon with interment in Riverhead. Mr Northrop based his remarks upon Mrs Jennings' favorite psalm, the 23rd, and at the close of the service, a duet "Sometime We'll Understand" was sung by Messrs Northrop and George B Griffing of Riverhead. The deceased is survived by the following sisters: Mrs Clark Newton of Islip, with whom she had resided for the past few weeks; Mrs William Davis and Mrs Homer Burr, also of Islip; Mrs Howard Hulse of Calverton, and Mrs Clarence Downs of Aquebogue.
