Albert Benjamin Brown Sr. of Mount Laurel, passed Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Brightview Assisted Living, Mount Laurel. He was 85.

Mr. Brown was born in Selma, Ala. and lived in Trenton, N.J. before moving to Mount Laurel 20 years ago.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Sgt. First Class.

Mr. Brown was a member of Jacob's Chapel AME Church in Mount Laurel.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Yoshie S., in 2007.

Mr. Brown is survived by his sons, Willis S. and Albert B. Jr. (wife, Valerie C.); brother, Willis C. (wife, Julia); grandchildren, Melanie S. Lynch and Wesley; and a great-grandson, Connor.

A visitation will be held 9:30 to 11 a.m., Thursday, March 21, followed by the memorial service, both at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m. at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
