Death of Mrs. Juda Bennett.
Juda A. Bennett was born in New Albany, Harrison County, Indiana, November 20, 1844 and died at the home of her daughter in Hastings, Neb., May 29, 1920, being 75 years, 6 months and 9 days of age.
She was united in marriage to Nathan Bennett of New Albany Indiana, October 25, 1859. He departed this life July 12, 1898. To this union were born thirteen children, eight of whom have gone on before.
She leaves three daughters and two sons to mourn her departure: Mrs. Anna Stewart of Strang, Mrs. Minnie Taylor of Guide Rock, Phillip Bennett of West Point, and Samuel Bennett of Superior. She also leaves a brother, David Brown, of Tacoma, Wash., twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-one
The funeral was held at Carleton, Neb., in the Carleton c
Cemetery, where the body was laid to rest. Rev. W. D. Bradley, pastor of the United Brethren Church of Strang, was in charge of the funeral. The singers were also from Strang, Mrs. J. A. Allsman, Mrs. L. Monroe, Mrs. L. D. Stewart and Mrs. N. N. Brown.
